Well...
We are hunkering down for this massive typhoon we're getting. It's supposed to be a category 4 when it hits us. They're already cancelled Nic's work for tomorrow - which is HUGE. When they tell marines not to come into work, you know it's a big deal!
this is from yesterday. we are the "bigger" island directly in it's path.
We're supposed to go into TCCOR-1 in the morning, by 8am. Solveig's flight is supposed to leave at about 1PM, but we're pretty sure that's NOT going to happen...so we're going to have to monitor the airline's website to make sure it gets cancelled... sometimes the Japanese pretend that typhoons are nothing to be concerned about! But this one is supposed to be the biggest one in 12 years. And it is making a beeline straight for us. Actually it's going to be REALLY close to Kinser - the eye of the storm that is.
The wind is HOWLING outside. And it's not supposed to pass over us until 3AM Friday. It's Wed evening. This is going to be a BIG one!!! :)
