Here are the pictures from our trip to the Aquarium. We had a great time, although we didn't get to see any of the shows, because we missed them all. But all in all, it's a VERY cool place - we'll be taking anyone who comes to visit. Of course when we went it was SO HOT. Unbearable outside. Luckily most everything was inside, although they had the sea turtles, manatees and dolphins outside.
Here is the touch tank. The boys actually weren't too interested in it - I guess its not as cool since we've been able to find the same things in the ocean and see them in a much cooler and natural setting. And there were a lot of nationals around us, so I think they might have been a little uncomfortable.
In one of their tanks. It has a glass ceiling so there is live corral growing - I think I read that it might be the only one of its kind in the world?
The whalt shark tank. It was SO HUGE. Well, maybe the whale sharks didn't think so, but it's massive. Nic commented on how appropriate it was that there was a WHALE shark behind me - hardy har har Nic...
In the shark museum part - really neat. Of course Maximus wouldn't pose for the picture - he's been defiant lately, just not wanting to do things. Oh well, he's still in the picture so HA
This is from the white shark tank and this gash is on a female. Apparently this is what the males do to the females during mating season - YIKES!
Once again, the boys didn't want to take their picture - we ended up bribing them with the promise of ice cream (which they forgot about later) Wish you could see their cowboy boots - it completes their outfit :)
You can kind of get a taste for how HOT it was that day - Colton's face is SO RED. This is when we were leaving, walking to the car. Nic didn't want to bring the double stroller and I ended up having to carry Colton up a huge hill. Ugh.
