As hard as it is for me to do...I'll be driving with Nic to CA tomorrow morning - leaving both boys in STL. My sister Solveig will watch them, with my sister Susan watching them during Solveig's school hours (she teaches kindergarten). I feel guilty for leaving them...especially at the same time Nic leaves them for 12 weeks (well he'll come back for my youngest sister's wedding in late February). I just hope and pray that it doesn't scar them.
But I AM looking forward to a road trip with just Nic! It should be really fun! We have everything planned out, only driving I think up to 6 hours a day. We should arrive in CA on Monday and I'll fly back to STL on Tuesday.
